DR. MARK HSIANG EN LIN B.Sc.,D.D.S.,M.Sc. (Prosthodontics), F.R.C.D. (C)

Dr. Mark Lin
graduated from the University Of Toronto in the Biochemistry Specialists honors program. He received his dental degree from University of Detroit Mercy in which he was on the Dean’s list for 4 consecutive years and finished within the top 5% of the class. As a senior dental student, he was selected to participate in the world renowned Oral Maxillofacial Surgical Externship program at the Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas. He then completed a 1-year General Practice Residency program at the Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, where he received training in hospital dentistry Intravenous sedation and advanced surgical procedures. He practiced general dentistry for 13 years then completed his post graduate training in the specialty of Prosthodontics at the University of Toronto. He currently holds a part-time position as an Associate in Dentistry at the University of Toronto. He serves as a surgical demonstartor in the post graduate Periodontics department and staff at the Implant Prosthetics Unit (IPU) at the University of Toronto. In addition, he maintains a full-time practice as a prosthodontist with a focus on full mouth reconstructions and implant dentistry.



Dr_BarronDr. Robert Paul Barron earned his DMD degree at Tufts University in Boston. Following an internship in New York, he returned to Toronto and entered private general practice.  Two years later, Dr. Barron initiated his training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Hadassah Medical Centre in Jerusalem, Israel, interned in hospital and completed his final years of training at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Barron has maintained a practice in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Vaughan since 2004 with interests in general anesthesia, complicated extractions, immediate and planned implant placement, bone grafting, sinus lifts, pathology and trauma.

Dr. Barron is an active member of the Ontario Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Canadian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is actively involved in the American Society of Dental Anesthesia and is both a Fellow and Diplomate of the National Dental Board of Anesthesia. Dr. Barron has authored several papers as well as presented several topics on Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Canada, The United States and Israel.


DR. STEPHEN ING B.Sc., D.D.S., M.Sc., (Specialist in Dental Anesthesia)

Dr_IngDr. Stephen Ing graduated in 1999 with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Toronto. In 2008, he completed his three year postgraduate training in dental anesthesia at the University of Toronto. This program is unique in that it is the only one of its kind in Canada that provides focused training in sedation and general anesthesia for dental treatment. In fact, Dr. Ing is one of only a small group of dentists in Canada who have received training in both dentistry and anesthesiology. He is a diplomate of the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology and a certified specialist in dental anesthesia registered with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario.


DR. JOSEPH FAVA B.Sc., D.D.S. M.Sc., (Prosthodontics), F.R.C.D.(C)

favaDr. Joseph Fava earned his DDS, MSc. and prosthodontic specialty certificate at the University of Toronto. His MSc focused on dental implants in the aesthetic zone. He currently instructs in the IPU at the U of T and is actively involved in clinical research. He maintains a specialty practice whose scope includes cosmetic dentistry, surgical and prosthetic components of dental implants as well as advanced restorative and reconstructive full mouth therapies. He is a distinguished Kois Mentor. He is also Codirector of the University of Toronto’s Implant Residency Program.


DR. TINA KOKOSIS D.D,S., M.Sc. (Perio), F.R.C.D.(C)

KokosisDr. Tina Kokosis studied Human Biology at the University of Toronto, and then received her DDS degree at the University of Western Ontario. She then moved to New York City and completed a 3-year residency at Columbia University where she received her Master of Science degree in Periodontics. Her research at Columbia University included the evaluation and comparison of the surface topography of various dental implants and their effect on osseointegration, and the success rates of short implants in the maxilla and mandible.

Dr. Kokosis resides in Toronto, where she is a Certified Specialist in Periodontics, having obtained a Fellowship from the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. She is a clinical demonstrator at the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry, and maintains a private periodontal practice in Toronto, where she provides services in all areas of periodontal and implant therapy.


DR. JIM LAI B.Sc., D.M.D. (U PENN), M.Sc. (PERIO), M.Ed., F.R.C.D.(C)

Dr_LaiDr. Jim Lai is Discipline Head and Graduate Director of Periodontology at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto. He received his dental training at the University of Pennsylvania and completed his Master of Science and Master of Education at the University of Toronto. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, Pierre Fauchard Academy, International College of Dentists and American College of Dentist. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He is on the editorial board for Ontario Dentist and is a manuscript reviewer for the Journal of Canadian Dental Association. He is also a Board examiner for the Royal College of Dentist of Canada.


DR. ERNEST LAM B.Sc. (Hons.), D.M.D., M.Sc., Cert. O.M.R, Ph.D., Dip. A.B.O.M.R., F.R.C.D.(C)

LamErnest Lam is the Dr. Lloyd & Mrs. Kay Chapman Chair in Clinical Sciences in the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Toronto, the Director of the Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology Graduate Program and the Associate Dean for Graduate Education. Dr. Lam completed the combined D.M.D./M.Sc. program at the University of British Columbia, and spent 2 years in general practice dentistry in Vancouver. Dr. Lam then enrolled in the Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology Program at the University of Iowa, and subsequently completed a Ph.D. in Radiation Biology in the University of Iowa’s College of Medicine. Dr. Lam is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, and has served the College as both the Councillor and Chief Examiner for Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, and as Treasurer. Dr. Lam is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, and as a Director, Secretary/Treasurer and President of the Board.



LandzbergDr. Michael Landzberg trained in dentistry at the University of Toronto, graduating in 2005, after which he completed a general practice residency at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY practicing general and emergency dentistry. He completed the post-graduate periodontics program at the University of Toronto in 2009 Dr. Landzberg was a guest speaker at the Osteogenics 2011 Global Bone Grafting Symposium. Dr. Landzberg is a regular speaker for Toronto Institute for Dental Excellence, teaching other dentists on various subjects, including dental implants, gingival grafting, and surgical techniques.

Dr. Landzberg maintains a strong research interest, and has published articles on implant esthetics and a new narrow implant. Dr. Landzberg is currently working on a long-term multi-centre randomized control trial on narrow implants. In his spare time, Dr. Landzberg often enjoys live music. He loves to travel, and he recently completed his advanced scuba divers training. 



MancusoDr. Mancuso graduated from the University of Toronto in 1985 and has maintained a general dental practice in Welland, Ontario ever since. In 2006 he received the award of Master in the Academy of General Dentistry and in 2011 he was recognized with the “Lifetime Learning and Service Recognition Award” by the AGD. He has published articles for numerous dental journals and has given over 100 presentations to various dental organizations. In 2012 he was named, “Canadian AGD Dentist of the Year” by the Canadian AGD. From 1999 to 2009, Dr. Mancuso conceived, developed and ran “Millennium Aesthetics”- a live hands-on program that taught dentists and staff aesthetic diagnosis and treatment.

He currently serves as President of the Regional Niagara AGD study club. In 2015 he was appointed Co-director for the University of Toronto, Continuing Education, Cosmetic Dentistry Mini-Residency program for practicing dentists.


DR. TONY MAZZATTO Hon B.Sc., D.M.D., M.S.D., Dip. Perio., F.R.C.D.(C)

MazzattoDr. Anthony Mazzatto received his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia after obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Following that he completed a general practice residency at Eastman Dental Center and the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, New York. After some time in private general practice he returned to university and completed the Postgraduate Periodontics Specialty Program at the University of Toronto and received his Periodontal Specialty Certificate. While there he also completed a thesis on retrieving and evaluating the published periodontal literature. He was Head of Periodontics at Toronto General Hospital for 10 years where he provided and oversaw periodontal
treatment for compromised patients and also lectured on and supervised the hospital residents in advanced periodontal therapy.

Dr. Mazzatto was a clinical instructor in predoctoral periodontics and a lecturer in the postgraduate periodontal specialty program at the
University of Toronto. He has been associated with T.I.D.E. since 2009. Prior to that, Dr. Mazzatto served as a clinical instructor in the Nobelpharma Implant Mentorship program for 6 years. He has a strong interest in implant education and in optimizing the level of surgical implant therapy delivery by all dental professionals. Dr. Mazzatto is a Certified Specialist in Periodontics and maintains a comprehensive private periodontal practice in the downtown Toronto financial district.


DR. NAHEED MOHAMED Hon B.Sc., D.M.D., M.S.D., Dip. Perio., F.R.C.D.(C)

MohamedDr. Naheed Mohamed received his Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto. After a year of periodontal research at Mount Sinai Hospital, he attended dental school at Boston University and completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Graduating from dental school with magna cum laude and the American Academy of Periodontology Dental Student of the Year Award for achievement in Periodontics, Dr. Mohamed further pursued his studies at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland to complete his specialty training in Periodontics. During his residency he pioneered research in an autologous blood derived material called platelet-rich fibrin and its numerous clinical applications; earning his Masters Degree. Dr. Mohamed is a board certified specialist in the United States and Canada attaining his Diplomate status by the American Board of Periodontology and Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. Dr. Mohamed currently maintains a private practice and actively lectures about innovations in Periodontics and Implant surgery.


DR. PETER NKANSAH M.Sc., D.D.S., Dip. Anaes., F.A.D.S.A., Specialist in Dental Anaes. (ON)

Peter-NkansahDr. Nkansah received both his DDS degree and Diploma in Dental Anaesthesia from the University of Toronto in 1993 and 1996, respectively. He now maintains a private practice in Toronto, specializing in sedation dentistry for the dentally anxious or medically compromised patient. In addition, he is a lecturer and clinical instructor at the University of Toronto for the undergraduate and graduate students. Peter is a course director for the conscious sedation continuing education course at Western University and for Advanced Cardiac Life Support with Sunnybrook HSC. He is a member of the editorial board for the dental journal Oral Health. He is also a regular lecturer for dental groups nationally and internationally. On the sports front, one of his other areas of interest, Peter is the dental consultant for the Toronto Raptors, the Toronto FC and the University of Toronto Varsity Blues.

DR. SKY NASLENAS, M.Sc, Orthodontist

NaslenasDr. Naslenas is a leading authority in the field of orthodontics. Earning her Masters of Science degree and Orthodontic certification in 2005 from the University of Toronto, Dr. Sky is a trusted expert in her field.

She has been a presenter and invited speaker at several of the industry’s top events, including the annual meetings of the Canadian Association of Orthodontists, the American Association of Orthodontists, and the American Cleft Lip and Palate Association. She has also spoken at the general annual meeting for Dental Assistants and Hygienists.

In addition to her work at Royal York Orthodontics, Dr. Naslenas also works at the Hospital for Sick Children. There she’s committed to working with children with craniofacial anomalies, cleft lips and palate syndrome, and other developmental challenges.


DR. SANGEETA PATODIA B.Sc., D.D.S., M.Sc. (Specialist in Dental Anaesthesia), Dip. A.D.B.A.

Dr_PatodiaDr. Sangeeta Patodia trained in dentistry at the University of Toronto. After obtaining her DDS she completed a one-year residency in comprehensive general dentistry at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Patodia returned to the University of Toronto to obtain her MSc in Dental Anaesthesia. Her research at the University of Toronto included an assessment of the need for and implementation of sedation and general anaesthesia in dental offices. Dr. Patodia is a part-time Associate in Dentistry at the University of Toronto providing clinical instruction in the Discipline of Anaesthesia. She maintains a mobile anaesthesia practice in the GTA and is a lecturer. She has presented on numerous topics including advanced local anaesthesia, medical emergencies and sedation.


DR. GOTH SIU B.H.Sc., D.M.D., M.Sc., Cert. Prosthodontics, F.R.C.D.(C), F.A.C.P.

Siu Dr. Siu is a BoardCertified Specialist in Prosthodontics in both Canada and in the US. He completed his specialty program at theUniversity of Illinois at Chicago where he received extensive training in both the surgical and prosthetic aspects of implant treatment, computer-guided surgery, cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry. His area of research is in dental implants and restorations in the esthetic zone. His research is funded by grants from the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, American Academy of Implant Dentistry and the Northeastern Gnathological Society.

Dr. Siu received his Bachelor of Health Sciences degree from McMaster University. He then completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. During his time there, he received multiple awards including the Academy of Osseointegration Award for Outstanding Student in Implant Dentistry and the E.Howell Smith Award in Prosthetic Dentistry. He was also inducted into theOmicron Kappa Upsilon National Honor Society and the Matthew Cryer Honor Society, the highest academic honor awarded to the top ten students in each class.


DR. OSAMA SOLIMAN Hon B.Sc, D.M.D., F.R.C.D.(OMS) Oral Surgeon)

SolimanDr. Osama Soliman is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, working in Coronation’s Waterloo, Brantford, Guelph, Cambridge, Stratford, Woodstock, and Goderich offices. Dr. Soliman completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto, then finished his Doctor of Dental Medicine with Honors at the University of Pennsylvania. He then completed his Internship and Residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University. He has received multiple academic awards throughout his undergraduate, dental, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training.

Dr. Soliman has presented abstracts and posters at Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery meetings on topics ranging from dental implants to bone cancer in the jaw. His ongoing research topics involve facial trauma, pathology, and virtual implant treatment planning and provisionalization. He has also written chapters for the reference guide Oral and Maxillofacial Secrets.


JON B. SUZUKI D.D.S., Ph.D., M.B.A., F.A.C.D., F.I.C.D. (9-2015)

SuzukiDr. Jon Suzuki
has a Presidential Appointment as Professor of Microbiology and Immunology in the School of Medicine and Professor of Periodontology and Oral Implantology in the School of Dentistry at Temple University, Philadelphia, PA. USA. He also serves as Chairman and Director of Graduate Periodontology and Oral Implantology at Temple University. He has been Dean at the University of Pittsburgh, Chief of Hospital Dentistry, Presbyterian University Hospital, and CEO of the Faculty Dental Practice Plan.

Dr. Suzuki received his D.D.S. from Loyola University of Chicago and Ph.D. in Microbiology from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He completed an N.I.H. Fellowship in Immunology at the University of Washington in Seattle, and a Clinical Certificate in Periodontics at the University of Maryland. He completed an MBA from the Katz Graduate School of Business of the University of Pittsburgh.

Dr. Suzuki is the current Chairman of the Food and Drug Administration Dental Products Panel, Silver Spring, MD. and will hold this position through 2018. He is on the faculty of the US Walter Reed National Medical Center, Bethesda, MD, and holds Professorships at the University of Maryland, the University of Washington and Nova Southeastern University.

He served as Chairman of the American Dental Association Council on Scientific Affairs and continues to serve as ADA consultant on the Scientific Council, Dental Practice Council, and the Commission on Dental Accreditation, Chicago. Dr. Suzuki served on the National Institutes of Health National Dental Advisory Research Council, and numerous NIH Study Sections in Bethesda, MD. Dr. Suzuki has hospital appointments at Temple Episcopal Hospital and Veterans’ Affairs Medical Centers.

He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, Diplomate and Board Examiner of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Fellow of the American and International College of Dentists, and a Specialist Microbiologist of the National Registry of Certified Microbiologists (NRCM).

Dr. Suzuki is the current Executive Secretary/Treasurer of the Supreme Chapter of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national Honorary Dental Society, and has served in this position for a quarter of a century.

His honors include being named “Alumnus of the Year”, Loyola University of Chicago; “Alumnus of the Year”, Illinois Wesleyan University; “Recognized Alumnus in Biological Sciences”, Illinois Institute of Technology; and “Faculty of the Year” University of Maryland. Dr. Suzuki won 1st place, Orban Prize Competition of the American Academy of Periodontology and won 1st place in the ADA SCADA Research Clinic Competition. He is in private practice limited to hospital dentistry in Philadelphia.

Dr. Suzuki has published over 150 papers, chapters, and symposia, 200 abstracts, and 1 textbook in Medical Technology.


DR. AMY YEUNG D.D.S., M.Sc. (Perio), F.R.C.D.(C)

Dr_YeungDr. Amy Yeung received her dental degree from the University of Toronto and completed a hospital residency at Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Yeung then completed the Graduate Program in Periodontics at the University of Toronto. Her research interests include how diabetes impacts healing. Currently Dr. Yeung is in private practice limited to Periodontics.
